MC Andy Sherman

Andy Sherman was born in Holland. Being the son of the soul legend Tony Sherman (Sherman Brothers) Andy Sherman’s future was already outlined before he was born. Singing, songwriting, performing and producing are among the talents that would come naturally to him. He grew up in a family where making music was a lifestyle. Because of his father’s singing career, the family spent a few years on the Island of Curaçao (Dutch Caribbean).

After secondary school Andy moved back to Holland and continued his musical career. At the age of 19 he moved to Spain to perform with his father in the 5 star hotels .Every night he gave a Motown show with a four man formation. It is there where he developed his entertaining skills.

In 2002 Andy became the front singer of Artful Dodger, replacing Craig David. He toured all around the world giving shows in the biggest clubs & venue’s.
Throughout his career, he worked with big names in the UK garage industry such as MJ Cole Dubaholics, Vula Malinga (Bassment Jaxx), Agent X, Wide Boys. In the UK Garage scene he recorded several underground hits like “Decoy” (Agent X) and “NoNoNo” (Dubaholics) released on Public Demand/Warner Brothers.. It’s in the UK, touring with the Artful Dodger, where he acquired his MC-skills. In 2003 Andy was nominated as “Best newcomer” at the UK Garage awards.
In 2005 Andy returned to Holland and decided to continue his musical journey . Collaborating with hot producers in the house scene like Fedde le Grand, Laidback Luke, Funkerman, dr Kucho, Gregor Salto, just to name a few. In December 2007 Andy featured on the dr kucho hit “Lie to yourself”

Andy Sherman is not only a mc/vocalist. He is a songwriter as well. In the Jan 2008 the single was released called 3 min 2 xplain produced by Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman. It was on this track where andy collaborated with his sister Dorothy Sherman. Dorothy is also a well know vocalist she featured on the harsoul track “self religion”.

At the moment Andy is working all of Europe in the biggest clubs. He also performed in clubs like Ministry of Sound (London), Discorium (Istanbul), Starzz (Paramaribo) Escape, the Sand, Off Corso, Dirty Dutch and events like Mystery Land and Defected Events. For summer 2009, Andy will be proudly presented by Matrix Club, the No1 dance club of Hersonissos, in Crete and will for sure whip up everyone will visit the biggest club of Hersonisos.
